The nail and beauty service industry underwent significant changes in 2003 following deregulation, marking a poignant moment for many in the beauty sector. Unfortunately, with deregulation, a wave of substandard establishments emerged. If you have MMA acrylic on I will not be removing it for you. It's best you go back to the establishment that applied it on you and have them remove it. Nevertheless, the enduring appeal of high-quality products and workmanship persists. Professionals, in the industry have no need to hide the brand of the products we use. Clients discern and appreciate the quality that comes with the time and care dedicated to their needs and keeping the customers natural nail healthy.

The past decade has seen some game changing products on the market including new gel formulations that have become popular and mainstream. Back in the day when I tested the first prototype gels, they had a strong chemical odor even after curing. The new gels are virtually odor free and much more resilient than ever before. We’ve also seen the advent of gel polish which had been a game changer for those with both natural nails or gel/acrylic.

For those who opt to go get their nails done for the first time it can be a daunting list of choices on the nail services list. I hope to write about some of the services and techniques in more detail. My hope is to help anyone new who is just getting into the love of their nails, go forward with deeper understanding of the pros and cons of the various techniques. There’s never enough time to cover all the service differences for someone getting their nails done for the first time. Especially so when they may not understand the required commitment for some nail services. Getting it right makes all the difference! I want you to Love Your Nails.
